Monitor the local network

Hi all,
Is it possible to do such an action in zabbix to monitor the local network and inform me when a new host (new IP or MAC address) appears on the network?

Ofcourse you can!
Set up a discovery rule to scan your ip range (192.168.0.1-254 for example)
Create a discovery action to send an email, slack message of whatever when a new host is found
