Interval time in passive check?

Hello Team,

I am using zabbix4.0, today i am facing a issue with postgresql service over my one server and getting alert service restarted via monit mail. But i didn't get same mail from zabbix and my alerting configuration is fine because we are getting all the alert for this server via zabbix.

I have checked the graph also in zabbix for postgresql service but there also all thing looks fine. But when i checked the syslog logs its showing service was restarting.

So i am in not good state if zabbix doesn't send alert for issue.

Now i have one question at how much interval zabbix server contact with zabbix agent for service/resource status?

Because i am thinking the service may be restarted in the period of interval time between two check and zabbix find the service status fine both times so its not trigger any alert for that time period.

Please help me.
