Monitoring LOG folder and, when item find specific word in a file, activate a trigger

    Hi everyone,

I use Zabbix server 4.2 on CentOS 7.
My monitored systems are RHEL 7.

I'm a System Engineer and I'm starting to love Zabbix.

As you can see in the title, I need to monitor some LOG files(not system LOG) in a folder, when an "error" appears in a file I need a Trigger on Zabbix.
    How I can do that?

    Thank you in advance!!

    Hello.
I think this page https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...ypes/log_items describes your case.

      Thank you,

      I tried many configurations.
Finally I partially solved my problem using log[/var/opt/XXX/logs/*.log,ERROR,,1] in the Items and {server:log[/var/opt/XXX/logs/*.log,ERROR,,1].str(ERROR)}=1 in the trigger.

I still have some doubts about a log rotation because with LOG works fine, if I use LOGRT it does not work.

I did not understand very well the difference.

      Thanks.
