Regarding your question about proxies and NAT - yes, it is possible with some conditions.
If the proxies are behind NAT, then you have to use only Active Proxies. That is the only way how they will be able to communicate with main server.

can Active Proxy working in Active-Active ? I have VIP -> 2 VM's of Proxy servers
how the connection "host - active proxy - server" is working ?
who is open connection ? and does connection stay open during the time or reopen every time that need to forward data ?
I have agent, agent active, trapper monitors type defined in templates

if Zabbix WEB UI installed on separate server from zabbix server, can it work in Active-Active ?

Sorry for not replying so long time. Lots of work now and less time to spend on forum.

If your questions are still actual, then I can tell you - yes, Active proxies will work in any case as long as they have one IP or DNS name of Zabbix server that does not change over the time.

The connection between proxy and server works in a way that Active proxy requests configuration from server (default 3600 seconds) and then send the collected data to server every second or heartbeat signal every 60 seconds. You can check the zabbix_proxy.conf file to see what and when the proxy does.

Web UI can be installed separately and will work as long as the VIP of the server stays the same.

what about active proxy and host connection ? does host also using tunnel to send/receive data from proxy or it working in format open connection -> forward data -> close connection ?

Natalia,

The connections are opened and closed every time both by proxies and agents. Zabbix does not keep open connections because of performance issues so every time there is a value or configuration to send, a connection is established and then closed when data is sent.

By the way, I see that your ZBX-8430 report is being processed by developers.

yes, I see it. looks like the fix will be only in 2.4 ... but anyway I am using "received value" instead of "discovery check" (as you suggested !!!!!!) and this bug not effect me anymore :-)
