    perf_counter for Gigabit-Netzwerkverbindung Intel(R) 82575EB) doesn´t work

    Hello,

i have Problems to query the following item on my Hyper-V Server 2012:
    perf_counter[\Netzwerkschnittstelle(Gigabit-Netzwerkverbindung Intel[R] 82575EB _2)\Gesamtanzahl Bytes/s]

When i try to start this item on zabbix Server, i got the following error:
    ZBX_NotSupportet

    Maybe it´s a Problem with the [R] ?

thx and sorry for my bad english!

Where did you get the perf counter?

Get a list directly from the server you are monitoring by logging into the server, pop a DOS box and type:
    typeperf -qx > perfcounters.txt

That will create a file called perfcounters.txt in whatever directory you ran the command. Now look in the file and do a keyword search on Gigabit-Netzwerkverbindung and find the metric you want. Copy and paste that exactly as it is into your perf_counter item in Zabbix.

Give it a few minutes to see if it goes to being supported. You can also manually set it from unsupported to enabled, to skip waiting for the unsupported item period to go by.

      Hi,

      thanks for the quick reply!

The perf counter is from typeperf -qx > perfcounter.txt an works fine on the hyper-v Server:
      HTML Code:
      get-counter -counter "\Netzwerkschnittstelle(Gigabit-Netzwerkverbindung Intel[R] 82575EB _2)\Gesamtanzahl Bytes/s"
This counter is working fine on the same Server:
      HTML Code:
      perf_counter[\Virtueller Hyper-V-Switch(I350Team1_Switch)\Gesendete Bytes/s]
