    Linux Template to monitor Print Queue Status

    Hi

    Anyone can help me creating a template to use on a raspberry using debian to be able to monitor the print spool.
    Basically I would like to know when the rasp has stopped printing and why. Is it paused, failed connecting to the local printer, etc.

    Cheers and thx for the help

    Let's start from the "start"

    When you are on raspberry - How you control your print queue? Do you use any command line utility? Do you use any control files?

    Then next step - How you connect from Zabbix Server to raspberry? Telnet? SSH? FTP? Zabbix Agent?

    The simplest situation:
    - your raspberry can be connected over SSH
    - you have CUPS on raspberry installed and working
    - you create a Host for raspberry on zabbix frontend
    - you create an Item for raspberry Host:
    -- Name - Status of Queue
    -- Type - SSH agent
    -- Key - ssh.agent[status_of_queue,{HOST.IP},22]
    -- Authentication method - Password
    -- user name - {....}
    -- password - {...}
    -- Executed script - lpq | head -1
    -- Type of information - Text
    Sincerely yours,
    Aleksey

        I'm not sure that anybody have the Template for raspberry.
        Because of that I showed you how to create an individual Item by yourself.
        Sincerely yours,
        Aleksey
