Hallo!
I could not image a logical explanation why I should not use zabbix-web and zabbix-proxy on the same host. I noticed that the rpm-Packages (Centos6/64bit/2.2.3) for zabbix-web und zabbix-proxy block each other. Neither the less I managed to install both packages on the same system. I can access for zabbix-server from the frontend and the proxy seams to work well.
I don't even see security concerns. It could only be a good idea to run zabbix-proxy and zabbix-agent under different UIDs.
So: Why not run web and proxy on the same host?
