Choppy graphs (data) trough SNMP and 'There is no such variable in MIB'

I'm trying to monitor routers (Mikrotik) trough SNMP, but the data I get back is choppy:

This one actually has a LOT of data on it, some if them are just an occasional dot every hour or 5. The connection works, every time I manually use
    Code:
    snmpget
    or
    Code:
    snmpwalk
trough linux terminal, I get data back. sometimes it takes half a second though, is there a way to increase wait time or something like that?

Another problem is that I get 'There is no such variable in MIB' error, even though it clearly succesfully got data from the very variable 20 minutes ago

As you can see, the 'latest value' is present, and if I click on 'Graph' I get some values, but they're choppy like in the first picture.

The update interval is set to 60 seconds, is that too frequent?

This only happens with Mikrotik routers though, I can get data from HP and D-Link switchec trough SNMP just fine and graphs are constant.

Is there something I can do on Zabbix side, or should I consult Mikrotik forums?

    Thanks

Let's start from increasing Timeout up to maximum (30 sec)
    /etc/zabbix/zabbix_server.conf
    Code:
    Timeout=30
    and then restart zabbix server.
    Sincerely yours,
    Aleksey

Thanks for the reply, I increased the timeout, now I have to wait for server to gather some data, and I'll report back.

edit: looking good so far, I think this was all I needed! Thank you again!

        No problem!

Good luck with Zabbix and SNMP mix...
        Sincerely yours,

Unfortunately, increasing the timeout didn't fix the problem. Graphs are still choppy, although a bit less choppy. Now there is a whole block (15-30 minutes) of solid graph, and a block of missing graph, or partial (15-40 minutes), the times are approximate, just a quick observation, not a 100% rule for all. Graph is still choppy. Should I increase/decrease update interval? Now it's set to 3 minutes.
It seems to be connected with Miktorik, because Cisco routers graphs are nice and full. Some mikrotik routers are graphed nicely, not all of them are choppy.
Is there anything else I can try?

Also what do you mean by good luck with zabbix+snmp? Do they not play well together? So far I don't have any problems with HP and d-link switches and cisco routers, just mikrotik.
qnap NAS wasn't cooperating on SNMP though, but it works nicely with zabbix agent.

On computers I have agents installed, those work nicely.
