Disabling Email Alert for Specific Trigger

    Hi everyone,

I have an alert that from time to time pops up, it's regarding a switch, I would like to disable, not the alert on dashboard but the email notification on it.

How do I go about doing that?

    Thanks!

    Which version are you using?

If > 3.2, then you have trigger tags (https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...iggers/trigger) that you can set up and use it in your action as ignore setting.

Hi, thank you so much for answering

I am using Zabbix 4.0.5, not understanding what's referenced by "ignore setting"

This particular "ignore" I want is for a Cisco Switch port alert. Can I be guided through a little bit more?

So I click on the alert that I wanna edit, the one on the attachment but I get kind of lost afterwards

So whenever I go to that trigger, it's all grayed out and I cannot edit it. Should I delete it and create a new one with the same expressions?

Probably because it's linked to a template, so you should either edit there or create a custom trigger on the host.

Maybe you should take a look at Zabbix Docs (https://www.zabbix.com/documentation/4.0/manual)

I don't have any problem to help, but sometimes you have to understand what you're doing before asking for help. The manual can provide better answers than me to what you're looking for.

So I created a new trigger with same expressions on the Cisco Switch triggers. It's a different name, but it contains the same expressions and the tag not to send emails. How will this work or which one will have precedence over the other? Should I link to template?

Did you disable the other one, related to the template? (Because if you have both of them active, one will still send the notification).

Yes, I disabled it, I think I dont need to configure the actions part.

Does the attachment mean that we onnly going to receive emails from that alert specifically?
