Multiple network interfaces in one host

    Hi, everyone!

    I'm a newbie with zabbix, so i have a question/.

I have some linux hosts with multiple network interfaces (up to 5) connected to different network. How can i get ip, mask and interface name via zabbix agent?

The supplied Template OS Linux has interface discovery, that will get you the interface name. The problem with IP and mask is that a physical interface can have many IP's, so I don't think there is a standard way this is done. We use puppet, so all of our systems have the "facter" utility. We have user_parameter items that are just facter calls. I think you could use something like "facter ipaddress_{#IFNAME}" in an item prototype backed by a user parameter, but it will take some setup and research.
