Hello and welcome to Zabbix forums!

What is the reasoning behind using lighthttpd and mysql instead of Maria? Just curious

DB engine is installed separately from Zabbix, so does nto matter what you have there - MariaDB, MySQL, Percona or whatever.

When installing Zabbix please follow all the steps as described in documentation. If you go with the packages then Apache will be installed as dependency but feel free to ignore it and install any other web engine on top of it and configure it accordingly.

It should be no problems as long as you will be using php-fpm.
