zabbix internal item does not work

I added an item to a host (not in template) to get the maintenance mode of host. the type is 'zabbix internal' and the key is: zabbix[host,,maintenance]

I checked the value with 'latest data' and it's 0.

i put the host in maintenance with data collection and i expected the value to change to 1 but it didn't change and it's still 0.

what should i do?

Your host is in maintenance with or without collecting monitoring data? How maintenance window is defined?

Maintenance type: with data collection
Period type: One time only
Period: 1 hour
and 2 hosts In maintenance.

Would be great to get this done.
For OPs it is mandatory to get aware of Hosts under Maintenace,
Sometimes in large Teams, they get stuck in Maint window accidently, but with a Dashboard list, that shows only hosts affected by Maintenance, it would be great to get aware of such issues

I wrote a script to manage Maint Windows for a Host via Scripts easily ...

Now I just miss the overview of maint hosts ... I could create a custom modulule, but ist maybe not a god idea, I'm not a web developper, it would not be professional.
