    Enable VM monitor after installation

    Hi,

Is there a way to enable the VM Monitor after you already installed the server or is there a way to recompile and not lose any data?

What environment are you using? I don't know what environment and how you built the Zabbix environment, so I can't even determine if recompilation is necessary.
    What does VM mean? VMware?

If Zabbix environment is built on the server, the value of each item is stored in the database, so the data will not disappear unless the database is deleted.

      Hi,

I am sorry about the lack of information:

      Environment:

      Zabbix 4.2
      Ubuntu 18.04
      MySQL

I installed from package using https://www.zabbix.com/download?zabb...ionic&db=mysql

      vm is indeed VMWare

If you have installed the official Zabbix package, configure the VMware process to start in the Zabbix server configuration file. Set the value of StartVMwareCollectors in zabbix_server.conf to 1 or more. There are several other parameters, but they are adjusted according to the scale to be monitored.

        Manual:
        https://www.zabbix.com/documentation.../vm_monitoring

        No recompilation is required.
