Zabbix on a Pi possible or even worth trying?

    Hello,

I've been playing with Zabbix at work on a VM, but would love to have it at home too, do you know if it works on a Pi? I will only be monitoring maybe 15 devices mostly by ICMP and a few via SNMP.

If so do you also have any addons/plugins? On Raspian Buster lite or some other?

    Thanks

It is possible to run Zabbix on Raspberry Pi. Packages for Raspbian 10 (Buster) and 9 (Stretch) are available.
However, be careful about the life of the SD card because a large amount of data is written for the database.

Zabbix is being downloaded over 4 000 000 times every year for a reason. Download and install Zabbix for free and try it yourself!

Thanks, I want to poll maybe 10-15 IPs that I have on my network and use Grafana for a Dashboard. Can Zabbix just poll (ping/icmp) devices as it's for home, so I don't think many of my devices can do SNMP etc?

I think that if you can ping monitoring about 15 servers and devices in your home, you can do it without problems. For polling with SNMP, it depends on the total number and frequency of items. If the load seems high, reduce the number of items or extend the polling interval.
However, I do not know if Grafana works comfortably.
