Zabbix proxy - disk requirements - what size is recommended
I am new to Zabbix. I managed to get my 1st Zabbix server running a couple of weeks ago.
I am now needing to build a Zabbix proxy (so that I can monitor the inside of some natted networks).
I have read the Zabbix Large and Very-Large requirements and build up my Zabbix server to be able to monitor between 3 to 8 thousand hosts.
My question is " Does a Zabbix proxy " need a similar size file-system as the Zabbix server ?
From what I read, am I correct in guessing Zabbix proxy with a 100 Gig hard disk should be plenty large enough for 3 to 8 thousand hosts because the Zabbix Proxy mostly moves the monitored host buffered information to the Zabbix server ?
The Zabbix Server and Zabbix proxy will always have access to each other over 10-gig link speeds.
FYI - I am planning on a 10 year run time with my Zabbix systems (using mysql).
