Problem with Windows 2008 Monitoring Script

First off I'd like to thank RedShift for creating the scripts to monitor Windows 2008/2012 backups!

    That said....

    What am I doing wrong?

Followed the instructions (https://www.zabbix.org/wiki/Monitori...Server_backups), the only change I made was in the Zabbix template, and I changed the type from Trapper to Zabbix agent (Active) as all the servers I scan are setup in Active mode.

The completion notification and running notification work (I get "Backup Completed Successfully" and "Backup Running") however....

The Events are coming back to the Zabbix server as Problems, and also even if a backup completes successfully (No Errors) I will still get an anomaly notification.

    Any ideas?

This is the only thing preventing me from rolling this out on ALL the servers that I monitor!

Briefly saying, you should not have changed that.

Zabbix trapper is a bit different thing, then active or passive agent. Let me explain a bit:
    • Passive agent - zabbix_server connects to zabbix_agent and requests values of items.
    • Active agent - zabbix_agent connects to zabbix_server, requests a list of items and send item values.
    • Trapper - zabbix_sender connects to zabbix_server and sends what it has in it's command line

So, trapper is somewhat simular to active agent - connection is established from monitored machine.
