zabbix to Footprints Service Core Integration for Incident Management

Any on this forum ever tried to create a new plugin to integrate with ticketing system for incident Management?. We are using BMC Footprints Service Core for the Incident management and now wanted to create incidents for the Zabbix alerts. I know we have a zabbix to Footprints integration. So I am trying to develop one using the API. Any help on this would be greatly appreciated!!.

I was hoping someone had started this, as this is something I would be also interested in. I think fundamentally it isn't difficult, but usually the person maintaining zabbix is not the person maintaining footprints.
