Hi,

I was wondering if it is also possible to create usergroups where I can give only access to certain parts of server(group)s? We have certain checks on servers that we would like to have monitored by another department. Is this possible without giving them access to the other parts of those servers?

If you just go to Administration --> Users, create a new user group there, on Permissions tab you will be able to specify host groups for read/write and readonly access.

Thank you for your prompt response, but that is not what I mean. I have created a user group and set permissions there, but I can only set permissions on host-groups. Effective permissions are for the entire hosts in the groups. What I would like to accomplish is that the new user can only see part of the hosts (for example only a certain template that was assigned).

Is that possible?

It think, no. Permissions are limited to host groups.
It might be possible to create additional smaller groups and use them.
