ITEM.VALUE in trigge rname, using snmp trap

    Hello.

I have a question about item.value and trigger.

    I have zabbix 2.2

In my application I have got PLC which sending me SNMP traps. The SNMP trap include text like location_device_on or location_device_off. And I want to use this text in trigger name. But when I recieved a trap the item value look like
    12:42:34 2014/08/13 .1.3.6.1.4.1.x.x.x "WAGO" xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx - location-device_on/off
And when I use ITEM.VALUE in trigger name the whole text is applied to trigger name including ip, date_time….. Is it possible to “filter?” it and applied to trigger name only the last word from ITEM.VALUE (location-device_on/off)?

    Thx for reply.
    Have a nice day

Take a look on post https://www.zabbix.com/forum/showpos...91&postcount=6

A lot of information about SNMP trap were discussed in that thread.
I hope you can find something useful.
    Sincerely yours,
    Aleksey

No oid and ip in TRIGGER name from ITEM.VALUE

      Thanks for a reply.

I know that I can modified ITEM.VALUE through SNMP handler. But there is few information which I can't modify, for example OID IP.... And those informations will appear in ITEM.VALUE. And if I use it in trigger name it isn't look good (it is long,
confusing...) - the main information in trap for user is only the STRING (location-device_on/off).

So I want in trigger name only "this STRING".
