When Zabbix draw a straight line on a graph?

When the Zabbix draw a line between two points in a graph and when it starts to draw the "whitehole" area also known as "gap"?
Suppose, i have a graph for an item with delay=$DELAY="120 seconds". Now i want to view this graph with a maximum possible zoom (1 hour interval).
So if i have one item value at Time0=N and next one - at Time1=N+2*$DELAY=N+240 - will Zabbix draw a straight line between two contiguous points?
