    WAN server checking rather than just agents

    Currently I administrate 4 sites, and my own. each site has it's own zabbix server, and the devices at said sites have the zabbix clients (all 2.2). my home zabbix server is 2.0, and home agents are 2.0. I would like my home zabbix server to report when one of the 4 sites' zabbix servers goes down, and i want one (or all?) of the sites' zabbix servers to report when my home zabbix goes down, but as of yet, I can't get it to work. I tried adding an external host, and configured the port forwarding to 10050 (which is the remote agent) on the one test site, but it still isn't performing as expected.

    I'm about 10 hours deep in trying to figure this out, any advice?

      You tried with ping template?
      Your firewall may be blocking conections too...

        OK, let's roll.

        1) Each Zabbix Server have to have Zabbix agent installed.
        2) Each Zabbix Agent have to be configured to allow connection from all Zabbix Server's
        /etc/zabbix/zabbix_agentd.conf
        Code:
        Server=1.1.1.1,2.2.2.2,3.3.3.3,4.4.4.4,5.5.5.5
        3) Each Zabbix Server have to contain one Host Description for each server
        zs1 - 1.1.1.1 - site 1 zabbix server
        zs2 - 2.2.2.2 - site 2 zabbix server
        zs3 - 3.3.3.3 - site 3 zabbix server
        zs4 - 4.4.4.4 - site 4 zabbix server
        zs5 - 5.5.5.5 - home zabbix server
        4) Each host have to be linked to "Template ICMP Ping"
        5) Each server have to be configured to fire trigger when connection to any Zabbix Servers lost and send email to you.

        Looks like a plan?
