    net.if.discovery filters for zabbix agent

    hello everyone,

i wish to make filters for template so that the discovery will create items, graphs etc.. only to active interfaces which the machines are actually using
and not for all the list that the default discovery generate because i end up with tens of items which i do not need,

im using windows servers and zabbix agent on them
i tried to use few macros and regular expressions but with no use,
i'd apprciate any help i can get here

Using net.if.discovery key there is no information about interface activity in LLD during the search and filtering phase. But have the ability to disable triggers unnecessary interfaces using the "User macros with context" https://www.zabbix.com/documentation...ros/usermacros.

the only macro available for net.if.discovery is IFNAME, is that correct?
        because if it is,
its kinda difficult to actually make a use of it to narrow the results, i mean. the number of interfaces available to discovery by zabbix is too damn high, and narrowing it by name is useless.
isn't there a macro for activity, status or somthing similar?

I do not think so. You can remove unnecessary logical interfaces using regular expressions. And will remain quite a bit.
