    how to set the snmp-agent

    hello
I am using zabbix-1.1, for its instruction, it said it supports the snmp v1, v2 and v3, here I want to ask if I installed the net-snmp on my client machine, without using zabbix-agent, how can I use the snmp-agent, and how to config it? the information from the zabbix-web is not enough, it asked me to create a new host, change the listen port to 161,also for the community, the default is public, I should change it to which fit for my client, anything else to do about configuring snmp? I've got so confused about it, can anybody who can give me a detailed example on how to use snmp on client end. thanks very much.

please post the zabbix items related to your snmp.conf file.

      SNMP OID ??
      SNMPv3 security name ??
      SNMPv3 security level ??
      SNMPv3 auth passphrase ??
      SNMPv3 priv passphrase ??

Something like how to get CPU load value, temprature reading from some file, .. some examples
