    Monitoring Windows Servers

How good is Zabbix at monitoring Windows servers?

I've got a mix of server 2008 and 2012. Can Zabbix monitor the following?
    1. RAM Usage
    2. CPU Usage
    3. Network Bandwidth Usage
    4. Running Services

It would also be nice if Zabbix could restart a service if it dies.

    Thanks!

Yes. It easily does all of that, and more.
Provided you install the Zabbix agent.

Sweet! I'll have to do some homework and come up with a plan to integrate Zabbix into the network.

      Thanks!

CPU is done using a Windows performance counter. Here is the key to use: perf_counter[\Processor(_Total)\% Processor Time]

          Keys for Memory:

          VM:vm.memory.size[free]
          vm.memory.size[total]

For the paging file - a performance counter again: perf_counter[\Paging File(_total)\% Usage]

Install the zabbix agent on the windows serer and then add the template "windows os"
The agent will monitor all of the above and more eg services etc

CPU & memory is already in that template. For checking on particular processes etc, you will have to define and item, trigger and action.

Can you give some example. i have try like this

                  Code:
perf_counter[\Process(<processName>)\Working Set Peak] // for particular process ram utilization
                  Code:
perf_counter[\Process(<processName>)\% User Time] // for particular process Cpu utilization
                  Code:
perf_counter[\Process(*)\% User Time] // for total Cpu utilization
                  Code:
vm.memory.size[used] // for total ram utilization this working fine
last one total ram utilization working fine other 3 are not giving correct value .

Please help me if i am doing some thing wrong

On the items you are having trouble with, make sure the
"Type of information" is set to float.

Feel free to use this template I am working on for "OS Windows", this should help you out. See the item keys in use. https://github.com/Chewbakka-Wakka/z...r/OS%20Windows

I have more to do/include for the next version V 1.0.4. Soon I may upload this to Zabbix Share to replace the default Windows OS template. Note, it is a WIP.
