Email Acknowledgement System
Hi everyone,
I made an additional function to Zabbix, for my company it works perfect.
But I would like a lot of input from the community to improve the feature.
--The Story--
The company where I work uses Zabbix there where SCOM is not enough (not my choice).
I have being trying to get approval for monitoring more and more.
But a complain that users had is that when an event is triggered, the users in that group get an email (nothing wrong with that).
They login to the machine that has the problem, restart the service and presto!
After this...they still need to login the Zabbix console and acknowledge the problem.
Or if a problem was already known to happen, so just for auditing they still needed to login and acknowledge this...
Well I came up with a solution, no master piece.
That is where you people come in!

The process goes like this:

I designed with OWA (MS outlook exchange) in mind.
DavMail is only for that!
But I hope that with GetMail I create more generic option's for other mail systems, but for that I need you!

- An event create by a trigger.
- Send an email to user(s).
- User act's (whatever needed).
- User reply's to email with message.
- Zabbix (my script) reads the email(s) and acknowledge with message.
