    Monitor zabbix own database

    Dear Zabbix users,

I've installed Zabbix on a Raspberry to monitor my stuff, and hosted the MySQL database on my NAS. In case of failure, I can rebuild a Zabbix instance without database loss. But last day, for some reason, my switch between the NAS and the Raspberry broke down and I did not get any notification, even if there is a redundant connection to access Internet...

So the question is, is there a way to get notified by Zabbix instance in case of database connection loss? I guess Zabbix highly relies on the database. If there is no way, I will rather dockerize Zabbix and host the DB locally...

    Cheers,

    Raj.

Zabbix build alerts (most of them) from database infos. I think is a good ideea to put a icmp ping test on that nas with a script.
