Is it possible to monitor through zabbix what's inside zabbix-java-gateway?

Hi,
In my setup I am monitoring some java applications. Significant amount and everything was fine till yesterday when java gateway stopped responding. I am suprised that zabbix-java-gateway is not monitoring itself as zabbix agent is monitoring zabbix-server. I was trying to connect to the port on which it is listening but I receive error:

java.io.IOException: Failed to retrieve RMIServer stub: javax.naming.CommunicationException [Root exception is java.rmi.ConnectIOException: non-JRMP server at remote endpoint]

I was trying to add:
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.rmi.port=12346
and
-Dcom.zabbix.jmxremote.rmi.port=12346

Parameters but it didn't help.

Does anyone succeed in setting up this monitoring?

hi,

The first option, create a simple item and triggers to test port and another simple configs, add trigger no data when not receive data.

I have no delay with knowing if Zabbix Java Gateway is not responding, as this appears as all my JMXes are unreachable and as result i have hundreds of triggers. I would like to monitori Zabbix Java Gateway itself and have triggers ready on its metrics and maybe resize it if its not stable anymore.

I got it covered, my zabbix java gateway was missing some parameters to enable and by adding:
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.authenticate=false
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.ssl=false
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.port=12345
-Dcom.sun.management.jmxremote.rmi.port=12345

I was able to start gathering JMX details from it.
