    Help is appreciated on SNMPv3/Brocade ICX

    Hi,

    I installed zabbix 4.4 on CentOS 8. Can you please guide me on how to discover ICX7250/ICX7750 using SNMPv3?

    What I have done:

    I found a module called "Template Module Brocade_Foundry Performance SNMPv2", I cloned it and modified the items inside it "CPU utilization, Memory utilization, Memory utilization" from SNMPv2 agent to SNMPv3 agent type, supplied the credentials. I created a new host, used the new template and removed the agent interface, added SNMP interface with port 161 and saved the host. I am not sure what I have done is correct to be honest, also besides the host on SNMP icon, it is red and says that IP:161 is timed out.

    help is really appreciated, I am trying to grasp the concepts in order to see what I really have to do.

    thanks

    Hi,

    I managed to convert below templates to SNMPv3:

    Template
    --------
    Template Net Brocade_Foundry Stackable SNMPv2 -> Template Net Brocade_Foundry Stackable SNMPv3

    Inherited Templates
    -------------------
    Template Module Brocade_Foundry Performance SNMPv2 -> Template Module Brocade_Foundry Performance SNMPv3
    Template Module Generic SNMPv2 -> Template Module Generic SNMPv3
    Template Module Interfaces SNMPv2 -> Template Module Interfaces SNMPv3

    Macros
    ---------
    securityName -> {$SNMP_V3_SECURITYNAME}
    authKey -> {$SNMP_V3_AUTHKEY}
    privPassword -> {$SNMP_V3_PRIVPASSWORD}

    So now I have a SNMPv3 template ready, I added a switch (Host), filled the macros and tested it, it works fine. I have 170 switches, it is impossible to add them manually. Hence I did a discovery rule for the IP range, and created an action shown in the attached image below. during discovery, how can I fill the macros above for the action to work as intended in order to automatically add those switches to hosts secion.
