    Changing trigger severity

    Hi All,
How can I go about changing the severity level of a trigger if the option is greyed out?

I have tried clicking through the high and higher levels of the template and eventually I get to a point where i can change it but then it doesn't seem to change the child templates under it?

Please see example attached, you can see one is greyed out and set to "Warning", the other is accessible and set to "Information" as i changed it from "warning"
How can I get the child template to inherit that change?

    Thanks.

      Hi,

Do you change trigger directly from the template parent?

      Regards,

I believe so, I changed it at the first opportunity as I moved up the "parent" levels of templates.
On my screenshots the one with it greyed out its the one I want to change, the one with the blue "information" setting is the one I can change, it was originally set to warning.

I did not see well. This is a prototype trigger, you should be able to modify them from Discovery rules => Network interface discovery -> Triggers

I have looked and the only discover rules I have set are for grouping and assigning templates upon agent discovery, Nothing to do with NIC interface etc.

Thanks for the help rodeur2080 , it looks like it was the prototype trigger that I needed to change, not just the problem rating.

                Thanks again.
