How to amend template with options?

Hi All,
I would like to amend a template with some extra expressions to alter the behavior of the alerts but can't see where to put the code. The template is - https://share.zabbix.com/network_dev...-net-cisco-ios

and I would like to make use of...

"3. {TEMPLATE_NAME:METRIC.diff()}=1) - trigger fires only if operational status was up(1) sometime before. (So, do not fire 'ethernal off' interfaces.)"

but I don't know where to put this line?
