Change of syntax in 2.4 WTH

So who came up with the great idea to change standard programming operators #,&,| to <>, and, or ?

Does this mean that i have to manually reconfigure ALL my thousands of triggers in all my current templates after upgrade? Are you mad?

Hi,

No, it is not that bad. The triggers are converted automatically at the upgrade.

If I remember correct you could even import 2.2 templates to 2.4 without any changes in XML file. The operators are converted. Does not work when importing 2.4 -> 2.2 though.
