Updating discovery rules and templates

I recently updated discovery rules and templates. I'm using an SNMP value for the hostname, which is working great for newly discovered devices, but existing devices are not being updated. In addition, I updated the template item prototypes to retain data for a longer period of time, which again works fine for newly discovered hosts, but not for existing hosts.

Is there a way to bulk update existing hosts? I only have about 200 of them, which I can do manually, but it would be a mind numbing experience.

Hi Troys,

Can't you do this by going to Configuration > Hosts > Select the hosts you want to update and then click on 'Mass update'?
