    Zabbix Proxy Setup

Hi friends, I want to implement zabbix proxy but I am getting confused how agent will be monitored. I have configured the proxy on zabbix server and on proxy server in active mode. But what about agent, how it will be configured whether in active mode or passive mode and what about the template link to host on zabbix server. Will template items will be active or passive type.

Zabbix Server ---------------------------- Zabbix Proxy Server ------------------------------Zabbix Agent
    Proxy In Active ?

Thanks in advance. Please give your valuable time.

The communication direction of a Zabbix proxy is only about the communication between Zabbix server and Zabbix proxy. There is no constraint regarding checks assigned to hosts behind a Zabbix proxy.
So whether a Zabbix proxy is configured to be active (pulling configuration and sending collected values from resp. to server), or passive (get configuration pushed and values queried by server) has no effect on the Zabbix proxy to Zabbix agent relation.

Hi thanks buddy, if possible can you provide me a sample configuration of zabbix proxy server (in active mode) and zabbix agent (both in active and passive mode). I am getting little confused regarding zabbix agent configuration.
According to me "Hostname" in zabbix proxy configuration is the name of the proxy created on zabbix server in active mode, but what about when proxy is in passive mode. And what will be the "Hostname" value on zabbix agent both in active and passive mode.
