monitoring via proxy - agent interface details

    Hello all,

I am trying to configure a single host to be monitored by a proxy. Host and proxy are behind a firewall so the only way to communicate with the zabbix server is via the proxy. The proxy itself is configured and talking to the server. However I am unsure what to put in the host configuration page for agent interfaces. Normally I'd point this at the host but obviously this won't work. What do I put in there? Is it the IP of the proxy? I can't delete it.

    Thanks

    Hello and welcome to Zabbix!

In the host configuration page for agent interfaces you simply put the actual IP address or DNS name of the host you want to monitor.

Please make sure that the host is accessible from proxy with that IP and port 10050.

You can test the connection by running the following command from the proxy console.
    Code:
    telnet <host IP> 10050
    Best Regards,
    Ingus
