How to monitor CPU Utilization for Windows in Zabbix

    Hi All,

I know the question which i am going to ask may have already been answered.
I would like to ask whether we can create item and trigger for Cpu utilization in windows server. I am asking for Cpu utilization not for CPU Load.

Plz provide me the solution for the same.

Here's the item I created for mine. It's on par with what Windows Task Manager is showing as CPU utilization.

Name: CPU Percent Load [Can be named anything]
    Type: Zabbix Agent
    Key: perf_counter["\238(_Total)\6"]
    Type of information: Numeric (float)
    Units: %
Update interval (in sec): Custom to your environment [I use 15 seconds]

    Applications: CPU
    Enabled: CHECKED

If you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask!

How to create trigger for cpu usage

      Hello,

I have created Item and getting accurate CPU usage however, not sure how to add trigger for CPU usage. It should change the status when average CPU usage is above 90% for 10 minutes

        hi,

You can also use the built in item "system.cpu.util"
        Name: CPU utilization
        Type: Zabbix agent
        Key: system.cpu.util
        Type of information: Numeric(float)
        Units: %

As for the trigger I use this one with implemented hysteris function,
        ({TRIGGER.VALUE}=0 and {host:system.cpu.util.avg(15m)}>95)
        or
        ({TRIGGER.VALUE}=1 and {host:system.cpu.util.avg(10m)}>75)

Trigger alerts when CPU util goes over 95% for 15 minutes and recovers when CPU util is below 75% for 10 minutes.

If you only want to receive an alert when cpu is over 90% for 10m use this one:
        {host:system.cpu.util.avg(10m)}>90
