Update Zabbix

Hello.

I'm running Zabbix 1.8 but want to upgrade to the newest release.
My servers are all running Ubuntu 10.X or 12.X, but the newest release for Ubuntu has version 14.04 listed.
My question is: Does the release, called "zabbix-release_2.4-1+trusty_all.deb" work with older versions of Ubuntu, like 10.X and 12.X?

Packages for Precise would fit for your 12.04 Ubuntu server.
