24 hour delay

So I looked at it today 24 hours after the first discovery and I notice the discovered devices are now in the Core Subnet group. Is that configurable somewhere?

I use discovery rules similarly as you to do ICMP to our access point devices.
They get added in to my designated groups rather quickly.

I would suggest you change your Discovery rule "Delay" from 3600 to something more like 300 seconds. As soon as my devices are discovered, I then disable that rule until I need it again, and make the necessary IP range changes, then re-enable it. Wash. Rinse. Repeat.

Funny thing

So I changed to a different part of my core subnet after the change you suggested. 10 more have showed up under the discovery rule but once again not added to the core equipment Host or the discovered hosts and not adding to the group. Guess I will have to wait till tomorrow to see if they show there 24 hrs after being discovered.

So I disabled the discovery and selected a different part of our network - again discovered 14 devices but no hosts or templates.

30 second delay

Setting the delay of the discovery to 30 seconds seems to have fixed the problem.
