Zabbix clear-text communication? Also a question about VPN.

Hello everyone,,
Im asked to setup a Zabbix server monitorin about 15 windows servers (server 2003-2016 in various roles/configurations)
However, one of the requirements is that the zabbix server is hosted on another network at different geographic locaton (= communication over internet)

As I have understood it - Zabbix does not support some kind of encrypted tunnel like VPN of any kind - all data is sent in clear-text.

QUESTION: Is it possible to use Zabbix over VPN tunnel? (Windows server standard PPTP-VPN) (SSH?)

Hi, encryption is described in the documentation:

In addition to that, since Zabbix traffic is regular IP traffic, you can apply any kind of normal VPN tunneling as needed.
