    Monitor text file in Windows

    Hi everyone!

Is it possible to monitor the contents of a text file in Windows the same way I do it in Linux using the key item log[...] and logrt[....]?

I know we can monitor the Windows event logs using the eventlog[...] key, however, What can I do when I have a text file being written by .bat process in a specific path and I need to monitore its content?

I asking that because we have for Windows the key item log[...] and logrt[...] (which works very fine on Linux), and I tried to use it on Windows and do not succeed.

    Thanks,

You can monitoring text log file using log[] or logrt[] on Windows. Did any error messages appear in the Zabbix agent log file?

I have created an item which monitors a .log file in windows ...
      item :

      key : log[E:\nyx\conf\tools\OPS-Install\GameDeploy.log,"MY_STRING",UTF-8,10]
      Type of information :Log
      Update Interval : 1m

the thing is that i expected in Mointor--> latest data to see last checks every 1 minute BUT i see that check happens every 24 hours...

      any idea on that?

Is the item type Zabbix agent(active)?
Is Zabbix server specified for ServerActive in the Zabbix agent configuration file?
Is communication from Zabbix agent to Zabbix server allowed?
Is an error output to the log file?

as i understand the communication between zabbix server and zabbix agent is ok as long as every 24 hours in "LatestData" --> History i see that it detected from the .log file the expected keyword . see attached the Item configuration
