Need best way to add hosts using zabbix agent via discovery & autoregistration

I apologize if this is a constant question asked but I have been googling this issue and I have tried everything that seemed to pertain to my situation but nothing seems to work. I have a fresh install of Zabbix 4.4.5 running on CentOS 7 with mySQL/mariaDB and Apache. the basic autoregistration and discovery settings i had seemed to work last night but since then I can not get any hosts to be discovered. Rather than torture you with what I've done which is clearly wrong, I was wondering if any of you would share your auto registration/discovery settings so I can compare and see what I'm doing wrong. I'm just trying to auto discover Linux/Windows Virtual machines (On vmware) and a few on bare metal server and desktop hardware.

    Thanks in advance

We use auto registration. Our "standard build" servers includes the zabbix agent configuration. We could do better, we could leverage host metadata better to identify the host grouping from our deployment systems into matching Zabbix groups.

Funny you should say that. I read thru some other users configs and and some of the official documentation and thats what I'm doing for the windows hosts and Linux hosts I want to monitor. Thanks. Any idea how to lower the time from 5 minutes. I lowered it as far down as 10s and it seems like it will not absorb new hosts any faster.
