    Changing Windows Service

    Hello Forum,
i am brand new to zabbix and try to figure out how it can help us to migrate from nagios.

To start, i have the following question:

I have added a Windows Host with the template Template OS Windows by Zabbix agent.

The discovery runs fine and i am able to get the information from that server.
I get the problem message that a windows service that state is automatic is not running. So i change the service from automatic to disable because i know that i do not need that service.

But the problem is still visible. Zabbix does not seem to recongnize, that the service has changed from automatic to disable.

I know that i can disable the check on that particular service, but thats not what i want. Also when i discover the services a second time, nothing happens.
Is it possible that zabbix learn when the service state on the windows machine changed from automatic to disable and automatic delete the problem?

    Thanks
    Frank

    Hi,

most probably the 'Keep lost resources period' setting in the discovery rule has a value of 30d. So services that aren't included by the filters any more, will stay for 30d anyhow. You can change this value to your needs.

    Regards
