I'm running Zabbix 2.2 I am monitoring a database server using the generic "template OS Linux" template. I am monitoring jboss servers with a clone of that template, called "Template OS Linux-Jboss"
So if you look at two individual servers
devoradb01 has "Template OS Linux" attached
devjboss01 has "Template OS Linux-jboss" attached.
I created an action using the trigger prototype in the mounted filesystem discovery rule on devjboss01. Zabbix successfully pages me when a discovered filesystem is less than 20% free. Zabbix also pages me when devoradb01 has less than 20% free. I did not set an action for that discovery rule and did not expect it to page. Are the trigger prototypes tied to all the templates?
Or maybe a better question is: What is the difference between a trigger and a trigger prototype?
TIA
Dave
