Is there a way to do a trigger that is activated when a value in the log contains certain words or an expression?

Yes, it's possible, even if you will have to potentially modify a regexp in php code (see this patch report ).

Exemple:

{myhost:log[/path/to/my/file.log].str(Signature verification failed)}>0

will trigger on if 'Signature verification failed' appear in the given logfile.

Btw, the above patches have been applied to 1.1.1. Anyway, perhaps you will have to extend the regexp for you specific needs. No pb: just do it and report (if in cas this has to be re-integrated to 1.1.1++
