How to Reflect Dynamic Filesystem Percentage in Action Email Subject

    Hi,

Hope someone can help work out an elegant way to do this, I think I'm missing something.

I want to receive filesystem space alerts that reflect the changing % of the fs in the subject of the email. So that if my /var is running out of space, I will see it dropping on each email I receive.

The only way I have been able to achieve this so far is by changing "PROBLEM event generation mode" in my trigger to Multiple, but some of the filesystems in question are extremely busy and so I find that once they cross the alert threshold, I get bombarded with alerts.

I've tried reverting to Single event generation mode in the Trigger and using Step Operations in the associated Action, but this doesn't reflect the changing values, rather it seems to be resending the same problem - if I increase the filesystem usage but stay over threshold, the alert keeps firing but the "Current: {ITEM.VALUE}" is not dynamically updated.

    Any suggestions?

What about {ITEM.LASTVALUE}? I think we're using that in some of our alert messages.
