Templates for DBs looks like a nightmare to me

    Dears

I need to monitor DBs like oracle and MS SQL

Templates on zabbix share are not easy for me to understand... since I dont know both zabbix and DBs

Can anyone help, with the templates config instructions...in a simple way...

    Thanks

What is it you need to know about monitoring MSSQL - I've not long finished working on some templates for this.

Depending on what it is you'd like to monitor I may be able to offer some tips.

Your best bet would be to start looking through microsoft documentation for powershell and mssql. A lot of information you need can be pulled directly with the WMI keys that are built into zabbix.

For others you'll need to be able to write powershell scripts to return the information you require.

Without insults.. If you don't know either of them, maybe you shouldn't do it at all. :- )
A decent way is to study these systems! And you need to start with the documentation....

Agree... but I think the templates configuration instructions can be written in a more clear way...

A template is just a grouped set of basic elements (which are described in the documentation). Everyone can make a template as he pleases, so you need to treat them as blanks, on the basis of which to do something of their own. On the other hand, realizing the shortcomings of this approach, the creators of zabbix are now developing standards for creating templates.
How to write the.monitor, you can start by examining the template elements. And when it becomes clear what each serves\is used for, enlightenment will come. :-)
