    Access problem

    Good Morning everyone!

    I'm coming to you to get your help concerning a problem I'm currently encountering on my Zabbix server.

    First of all, my configuration is as follows:

    - 1 Zabbix (4.4.5) server hosted on a VPS with MySQL ;
    - 1 Proxy Server (4.4.5) on a Raspberry Pi with MySQL ;

    The problem is as follows:

    My Zabbix server is accessible via a web interface without any problem, except when I launch the proxy server on the Raspberry Pi, the Zabbix server becomes completely unavailable.
    The web interface doesn't respond anymore, SSH access is not possible either. I don't get any error message especially in the different logs (Zabbix, Apache, MySQL).

    Do you have an idea of the origin of this problem?

    Thank you in advance for your feedback.

      Hello everyone!

      Well, I have news on my problem!

      To be sure it wasn't a configuration problem, I started from scratch. Reinstallation of the Zabbix server and the Proxy server without any other modification on it.

      The accessibility problem is still present, then I thought: "Why not test the connection to my Zabbix server from my smartphone in 4G connection?".

      So I activate the proxy on the Raspberry Pi, the Zabbix interface is, of course, unavailable from my browser, and I connect from my smartphone in 4G connection. And now, my Zabbix interface is accessible without any problem!

      However, I can't explain the origin of the problem...

      Moreover, my Zabbix agent doesn't communicate with my Zabbix server either. But maybe it could be related to my basic problem.

      Do you have an idea with these new elements?

        You can check zabbix agent log & server log maybe you can find information in it.
        I had a trouble like that at the begining, it was the host name configurated in the agent.
        You need to try to ping the server name set in the configuration from agent host.

        If there is no communication at all, you ll need to use networks commands like nc, nmap, tcpdump to check your network.

        I Hope it will help

          Hi Frogg,

          Thanks for your feedback.

          The agent's log book is inconclusive. I'm at level four for detail, but I don't have any errors. Proxy's log side the same, no errors appear.
          And on the Zabbix server, it just tells me that it's sending the configuration to the proxy, no error message.

          For the test of the pings, they work without problem too.

              I was going to run the tests with TCPDUMP to see the results. I'll come back here when I have some news.

                Hello

                The TCPDUMP analyses are inconclusive. Except that I can see the traffic between my server and my proxy on port 10051. And for the proxy logs, no errors either.
