Can't graph log files on linux/Unix

Hello all:
My zabbix_agentd.conf is bleow:



Server=10.10.3.114
Hostname=teststream01
Description=messages
Type=ZABBIX agent (active)
Key=log[/var/log/messages]
Type of information=Log
zabbix agent make='tail -f /var/log/messages'

####################### My frontend hostname is #############
teststream01.

How would you picture a log file graphed? If you view latest data you can see the history on a log file, but as far as I know it's not a graphable item.

I thought it was a graph. Thanks for pointing this out to me. I still can't see my logs after following your instructions. Anyway, enjoy your weekend. I'll be working.
