Zabbix agents vs Zabbix server compatibility

Hello,

Summary: Will zabbix20-agent.x86_64 (2.0.13-1.el7) on centos 7 talk to/accept connections from my zabbix-release.noarch (2.2-1.el6) server on centos 6.5?


Zabbix server has around 50 agents linux + windows connected happily (using agents zabbix-agent (1:1.8.11-1) to 2.2.1 (windows).

However the centos 7 server does not respond to the agent (shows red Z in mgt interface), i can see it is listening on port 10050.

yep, it should work. Test from server using telnet, if agent port 10050 is responding.

oh do i feel silly, changed server line in agent.conf, not agentd.conf
