I have some experiences with zabbix already, but i never understand how it can be globally used for thousands devices when the templates from Zabbix share contains only few items.
Originally i always had to download MIB file, open it in text editor, copy and paste the OID´s and create single items (ports, disks, fans, disks, PSU, -> nearly everything what was in MIB)
I already found how to autodiscover devices and autoadd them as host via SNMP.
I also have option to use MIB description in Zabbix.
Is there way how to autodiscover OID´s and auto add them as items (with their descriptions ?)
for example : it will scann oids and autocreate item: cpuStatus with OID: 1.3.6.1.4.1.2011.2.235.1.1.15.50.1.6.1
