    same problem

Hey there! Have you found a soulution? I'm stuck with the same problem with a proxy here. Create new snmp hosts but they don't get data but older ones do.

Hosts not getting data through snmp (host icon is not red/green)

      Hey mosesjohann,

Sorry, this is a old post and i am not sure what i did to solve the issue.
One thing i can think of is , removed all the devices and added them again.
      - Again this was production instance and bringing up new instance and configuring was pain in the a***. So be careful.

      - Check snmp settings on your router.
      - Check snmpget/walk works fine from your zbx instance ( be it proxy or be it sevrer)
      - Increase debug level - i know this produces lot of messages , but its really useful to zero on problems.
      - Also see if you can use tcpdump or wireshark to figure out if your snmpget/walk is responded by device
      - Check the number of pollers ( StartPollers ) - they are responsible for snmp based item fetches including agent fetches.

      Thanks.

i have this exact exact issues. my CheckPoint hosts if not being monitored by a proxy, it didn't collect data. But, without proxy (zabbix server monitors them), data were collected and the "SNMP" availability turned to green.
        i'm still scratching my head

You should to increase 'CacheSize' parameter in the zabbix proxy configuration. This can be seen in the log if debugging is enabled.

I had to go under "items" for the device under configuration and select "execute now" as the interval was 1day for me. This turned SNMP Green.
